This is my professional website. It is just a placeholder, though. I don’t keep it up-to-date. It isn’t where you’ll find my writing.

My primary outlet is a weekly newsletter, “The Future, Now and Then.” It is hosted on Beehiiv. That’s the main repository of all my writing. I write for a lot of outlets. If you’d like to keep up with my writing, the newsletter is your best bet.

I have a new book coming out in January 2027 — Vaporware, Inc.: How Silicon Valley Sells the Future to Control the Present. It’s available for preorder.

I am an associate professor at George Washington University. Here’s my faculty webpage. My colleague Peter Loge and I have a podcast called “Office Hours with Karpf and Loge.”
